Pat and Chris were enjoying a fresh fruit platter while relaxing in their breakfast nook. Cardinals, Morning Doves and Chickadees were pecking at the black oil sunflower seeds.
Laddie, their dog, kept running down stairs and then back up. Rushing over to their corner and nudging their knees.
After the third time up and down the stairs, Pat finally asked, “What is it Laddie?”
Pat and Chris were quiet while they listened for the answer.
“What is that noise?” Waterfall sounds were heard in the distance.
All three looked toward the stairs.
As Pat and Chris stood up to investigate, Laddie showed them the way. The dog led them toward the basement and into the laundry room.
A pipe had burst and the area was filling up with water.
“What do we do?” Cried Chris.
“Let’s shut off the water to this pipe and check our resource list.” Pat calmly replied.
Pat and Chris were prepared.
They had already asked their friends, colleagues and new neighbors who they used for home maintenance services.
Contact information was gathered, references were checked and introductions were made.
When Pat called Sam the Plumber, the phone was answered on the second ring. “This is Sam.”
Pat shared the plumbing problem.
Pat took a sigh of relief upon hearing the words, “I will be right there.”
